The Hunt
GENERALLY
Outdoor Bank has hidden a custom-made certificate worth $5,000 in a weather-proof box somewhere in the public trail system of the Manhattan, KS area (the “Prize”). Once found, Outdoor Bank will also match the prize with a $5,000 donation to the Flint Hills Bread Basket. One clue will be released each Friday afternoon in riddle form via Outdoor Bank’s Facebook, Instagram and X social media pages.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
The Hunt Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Outdoor Bank. The Contest is governed by these official rules (“Official Rules”). By participating in the Contest, each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements and understands that the results of the Contest, as determined by Outdoor Bank and its employees and agents, are final in all respects. The Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. The certificate will be located only on property accessible to the public. No destruction of property or extra physical or dangerous activity will be required or necessary including but not limited to removing rocks, stones or other structures both occurring naturally or man-made, digging or excavating of any kind, climbing or rappelling, boating or submerging or accessing portions of public property that may be closed or inaccessible due to construction projects or natural phenomenon. Should any portion of publicly accessible property be changed, closed or otherwise obstructed during the Contest, participants are encouraged to notify Outdoor Bank for a determination on the resulting impact on the Contest. Access to any portion of public property is in the sole discretion and judgment of the participant subject to these Official Rules.
ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States, where not prohibited by law. Persons under the age of 18 are eligible to participate but will be required to have a parent or legal guardian present to claim the Prize. Outdoor Bank has the right to verify the eligibility of each entrant. Outdoor Bank employees, board members, and employees and principals of Outdoor Bank affiliates, including immediate family members of the same and residents of their households are not eligible to win. Determination of eligibility is within the sole discretion of Outdoor Bank. Failure to comply with these Official Rules will result in the ineligibility of the participant.
HOW TO WIN
Once the certificate has been found, please return the certificate to an Outdoor Bank branch location in Manhattan, KS. Once verified, you will be presented with the $5,000 reward in a form of your choosing (meaning either cash, deposit, certified check or application to any obligation then currently existing at Outdoor Bank).
CONTEST PERIOD
The Contest begins with the release of the first clue Friday, September 12, 2025 and ends once the Prize has been found by an eligible person and verified by Outdoor Bank, or upon termination of the Contest by Outdoor Bank.
OBJECTIVE
The Hunt is a brand awareness and engagement campaign designed to raise Outdoor Bank's visibility in the Manhattan community and beyond.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Each participant agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules. Additional terms and conditions may apply as may be determined during the course of the Contest. The expenses and costs to participate which are not specifically listed as part of a prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with participating, acceptance, receipt and use of all or any portion of an awarded Prize are solely the responsibility of the respective Contest winner. ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF THE PRIZE ARE SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. OUTDOOR BANK MAY BE REQUIRED TO COLLECT CERTAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM THE ELIGIBLE WINNER FOR COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE TAX OBLIGATIONS. REFUSAL TO PROVIDE SUCH INFORMATION WILL RESULT IN THE INELIGIBILITY OF THE WINNER.
ADDITIONAL LIMITATIONS
There is one (1) Prize for the eligible winner. The Prize is non-transferable or redeemable anywhere other than at Outdoor Bank. No substitution or equivalent, not already stated herein, of the Prize will be permitted. Outdoor Bank is not responsible for the destruction or mutilation, for any reason, of the certificate evidencing the Prize to the effect that it cannot be verified. Outdoor Bank and its respective parent, affiliates, owners, board members, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of the Contest, including, but not limited to, errors in any printing or posting of these Official Rules, the delivery or selection of clues, the determination and announcement of any winner, or the distribution of any prize. Outdoor Bank reserves the right to terminate, suspend or amend the Contest, without notice, and for any reason, including, without limitation, if Outdoor Bank determines that the Contest cannot be conducted as planned due to reasons beyond Outdoor Bank’s control.
INDEMNIFICATION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
BY PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST, EACH ENTRANT AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS OUTDOOR BANK AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATES, OWNERS, BOARD MEMBERS, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES, AND ANY ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES, LOSSES OR INJURY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THAT PERSON’S PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST AND THE ACCEPTANCE, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE THAT MAY BE WON. OUTDOOR BANK AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATE AND SUBSIDIARY COMPANIES, AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS, DO NOT MAKE ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE CONDITION, FITNESS OR MERCHANTABILITY OF THE PRIZE. OUTDOOR BANK AND ITS PARENT, AFFILIATES, OWNERS, BOARD MEMBERS, AGENTS, AND REPRESENTATIVES, AND ANY ADMINISTRATOR, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, AND ALL THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES AND AGENTS DISCLAIM ANY LIABILITY FOR INJURY OR DAMAGE TO ANY PERSON OR PROPERTY FROM ACCESS TO OR FROM ANY OTHER CONNECTION TO THE CONTEST.
PROPRIETARY INFORMATION/PUBLICITY
All marketing material, including the clues, social media posts, and advertisements, is solely the property of Outdoor Bank. Each participant grants Outdoor Bank permission to use his/her photo, name, likeness or comments for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except where prohibited by law.
